Applied Computer Science and Control
Original title in Czech: Aplikovaná informatika a řízeníFSIAbbreviation: B-AIŘAcad. year: 2019/2020
Length of Study: 3 years
Accredited from: 1.9.2006Accredited until: 31.12.2020
Mastering practical skills required for work with computing and control technology is their primary objective. In the computer science part of the programme, emphasis is placed on computing applications such as database systems, CAD/CAM systems, design, operation and administration of computer networks and telecommunications. The automation and control part focuses on state-of-the-art automation engineering tools including non-industrial automation and protection systems. In addition to the above-mentioned fields, students can acquire the basic skills needed for business and management.
Jobs abound in small companies as well in large corporations that develop software, sell computer programs, and computers, design regulation and control systems.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
After graduation, the students will find ample job opportunities since, nowadays, new information technologies are required on a large scale in business, industries and in public service. The graduates may be employed in companies developing software, trading with computers, designing control systems, installing and administering computer networks both in small and large companies.
Our graduates are much in demand thanks to a large number of new dynamic IT companies that have recently emerged. All our graduates have found jobs with many of them being the owners of specialised businesses. The present demand of companies significantly exceeds the number of graduates. The expected future development of information technologies and automation will, for a long time, guarantee our graduates good job opportunities with a good pay.
After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science and Control, students may continue their studies in the same follow-up Master's degree programme to receive a Master’s degree of “Ing.”.
