   In small towns, public spaces should once again become central to public life. In the twentieth century, they were often not given proper care. Their renewal and further development must be based on an objective assessment of their state, overall situation and potential of their potential.

   Efforts involving other professional disciplines to understand the complex processes is not enough. New trends applied in urban planning with a large share of participation of the population are called SMART CITIES. The current urban strategies and tactics of SMART CITIES are based on the principles of sustainability and have been already successfully applied in many European cities.
