Reliability of Road Structures

General aspects of structural reliability, different approach in design of engineering, mechanical and other structural and systems. Evaluation of reliability with the help of serviceability characteristic and the principles of measurement. Failure mechanisms and functional properties of road building materials. Principles of pavement structures serviceability and bearing capacity calculation, design of pavement structures and design their maintenance, rehabilitation and recycling. The road department research dealing with the reliability of road system and structures is presented. The students of different specialization present the reliability approaches in structures and systems of their interest.

Aims

Main goal is to define the reliability of road network, systems and structures and present the principles of methods of structural design and methods of design of maintenance, rehabilitation and recycling.
