This course is concerned with up-to date approaches to the production planning, control and optimisation.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn a systematic and methodical approach to the production
analysis, using of up-to date conception and methods in the production
planning, control and optimisation from the point of costs, logistics
and expert approach.

Prerequisites

Student should have basic knowledge of production planning and control,
production systems design and university mathematics.

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.

their application for the effective production (MRP I, MRP II, Just in
Time, Kanban, OPT etc.).
3. Production logistics and its methods.
4. Linear optimisation in the production planning and management.
5. Dynamic optimisation in the production planning and management.
6. Production rules and priorities.
7. Optimisation of the costs, profit, time and risk in the production planning
and management. Flows transformation.
8. Expert approach to the production planning and management.
9. Product design for effective production. Production harmonization.
10. Production planning and management in the flexible production systems. The production harmonisation.
11. Capacity planning and management of production.
12. Calculation of the production productivity.
13. Machines repair and maintenance for the effective production in according Industry 4.0.
