Aims

In the first part of the subject the aim is to give basic information, which generally deals with the handling of chemical substances (legislation, first aid, safety data sheets) in the form of a lecture, to introduce students to the rules concerning the treatment of chemical substances at FCH BUT.
In the second part of the course there are short presentations of individual departments of the faculty, where the students can get acquainted with the focus both in the teaching area and in the research area of individual institutes. Presentations will include presentations of practitioners who can complement the applicability of theoretical foundations in practice. According to the study program, the FCH strategic industrial partners are selected thematically.
Time excursions will also include excursions to selected businesses. Students will be able to penetrate into the field of chemical engineering applications and significantly motivate them for technical understanding of chemical processes.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

To obtain the credit it is necessary to pass the test based on knowledge based on the introductory lecture focused on the legislation in the area of handling of chemical substances. Attendance at lectures is recommended for both full-time and part-time students.
