Economy of Civil Engineering

Introduction to problems of technical and economic disciplines (technical standardization, remuneration and costing), economic disciplines (prices, accounting, financing, taxation and investments), business and management disciplines (marketing, management and project management). Learning outcomes of the course unit
Gaining orientation in the issue of technical and economic disciplines (technical standardization, remuneration and costing), economic disciplines (prices, accounting, financing, taxation and investments), business and management disciplines (marketing, management and project management). Application of common knowledge in construction orders. Basic knowledge of construction law and construction technical disciplines.

Ability to orient in construction firm economy.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is taught through lectures, practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at lectures is optional, but attendance at classes is compulsory.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Terms of exam:
a) written part - a set of questions focused on general knowledge and their application, the total profit of 100 points, will set limits for individual levels of assessment, limit to advance to the oral part of the exam - 50 points b) oral-supplement to the written examination to demonstrate a deeper understanding of
Conditions for obtaining credit:
1. Attendance - Max 1 absence. Otherwise it will not in any case granted credit

To get knowledge about technical-and-economic disciplines, economic disciplines and corresponding legal codes for using in construction practice and building orders realisations.
