Project - Project Management of Building Constructions II

Based on the given competition conditions for public tender and assignment materials to make an offer to this competition to realize assigned building. As a base for this offer to process documentation of contractor’s construction preparation containing structural plan, organization of contracts for construction, technology of building works, schedules, proposal of construction organization plan, as well as costs and revenue plan and financial plan of the contract. For processing to use Microsoft Project and Contec software.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will apply specific knowledge and skills from project management of construction realization. They will conceive a bid to public competition. They are able to use network analysis for term, resource, costs and financial planning. They will process a proposal of construction site equipment. They will set of outputs in Microsoft Project and Contec software. They will learn concrete procedures and methods in the preparation and realization of construction to the contractor.

Prerequisites

Theoretic knowledge focused on construction projects from the aspect of building contractor, construction and technological preparation and equipment of building site. Practical application of specialized softwares for project management.

Co-requisites

To calculate price of construction works with regard to the profitability achievement of building production, composition of calculation procedures in terms of construction company.
To obtain a comprehensive view on business processes, the ability to analyse the factual processes and information flows, which are under way within the organization.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Students are divided into groups of two to three members, in which they process the project for concrete construction contract. They are acquaint with the contents of particular assignment and trained on software Microsoft Project and Contec. Continuously consultations are executed in the teaching, presentations and defences of developed project are taking place at the end of consultations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Projects will be processed in a maximum of three-membered groups of students. A base for getting a classification credit will be point evaluation handed project, which will be obtained for particular assignment, continuous consultation, the presentation and defences.

5.-6. Supposition of building site accessories
7.-8. Time plans of building object (SW MS Project, Contec)
9. Costs and returns plan
10. Financial plan of building order
11.-12.Elaboration of offers for public procurement process
13. Presentation and defending of project. Handover of project.

Aims

Application of knowledge and skills and acquiring practical experience at project planning connected with realization on the side of supplier, elaboration of proposal for public tender, preparing of presentation and proposal defense.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
