Production Processing

The aim of the course is to provide theoretic, operational and organizational and management categories, concepts, models and management techniques, terminology and methodology of incomes, transformation and output items of product process.
The course provides the knowledge of techniques of utilization of available resources in a dynamically evolving conditions of a market relations and ways of rational use of human factors in production.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be able to creatively participate in enterprise productins system creation. They acquire the basic knowledge of productions components; economy of productions activities and their assessments. The course focuses on integration student’s skills, which are necessary for using of production management in practise.

Prerequisites

The course is a follow-up and apply all completed obtained knowledge form the economic areas; business; information technology and Opening to material science and engineering, Informatics and database systems.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
Lectures will be proceeded with using of didactical technique by using Power Pointe.
Seminars will be calculated as a seminary.
To obtain an overview of the use of knowledge in practice, and tours of manufacturing plants

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions for awarding the course – unit credit: participation in exercises, fulfilling the assignments, and submitting case study of required content and form including presentation of results.
The exam has a written and an oral part.
The written part of the examination contains examples. The oral part tests student’s ability to understand and apply the theoretical knowledge of logistic management.

Aims

The main objective of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills necessary for production process management in relation to the development trends in the field of production management in the world and global manufacturing.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance is required and checked by the tutor in written form of an attendance list. Also controlled is a partial solution of the case study in the middle of the semester.
