Original Abstract

One of the main problems of modern physical geodesy is the unification of local height systems into one unified global World Height System. The primal constant used for this purpose is the value of geopotential on Geoid's surface. The main difficulties are different types of physical heights that are used worldwide, different ways of treating with Earth tides which are mainly caused by the Sun and the Moon or necessity to agree on the reference value of W0. The method described in this paperis using global gravity field models. characteristics of normal gravity and well known reference value of W0. The method applied on local height system of the Czech republic - Baltic Vertical Datum - after adjustment.
