The proposed protect will investigate the possibility of using artificial intelligence methods f or problem solving in both extensive and complex water resources systems. The protect will especially deal with the methodical procedures of neural networks,genetic algorithms and expert systems from the sphere of artificial intelligence. We will also study the optimisation and control of water resources systems in real time. The purpose of this protect is to contribute to the advance and use of artificial intelligence methods in the study of water resources systems, which are used rarely at the present time. The problem of the utilizing artificial intelligence methods in water resources management have not previously been studied systematically in our country. The proposed protect is an original and seminal investigation in our country, whose outputs will be significant for the development of further research in water resources systems, for AI science and for the solution of particular, practical water
