Original Abstract

The content of oxygen dissolved in water is one of the most important factors in determining the self-cleaning ability of a stream. Program QUAL2E allows, among other things, to simulate cycles of oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus and algae. The effect of concentration of dissolved oxygen is reflected through the internal source or through-fraction functions, resp. In modelling of the course of concentration of dissolved oxygen alongside the stream a coefficient of reaeration plays an important role, it appears in source or through-fracture function used to describe the degree of the change in concentration of this parameter and may be placed by eight different methods.
