Analysis of different animal skin tissue as alternative source of collagen type I. After collagen was extracted, water content, amino acid content and molecular weight by ELFO were determined. Thermal stability and denaturation temperature also were determined. Obtained results suggested that waste chicken skin has potential to present excellent alternative to traditional collagen sources such as bovine achiles tendon collagen.
