Originální abstrakt

The paper presents a short introduction into global optimization, and confronts a novel polytope algorithm – the method of chaos-lines of the second order (MCL2) with the genetic algorithms (GA). Some extension of the MCL2 relative to latest one is described. All the above methods are applied to the optimization of an eight-part Yagi antenna. The obtained results are compared with each other in the end.
