Originální abstrakt

The papaer deals with the dynamic response analysis of the block foundation a large reciprocating compressor destined for a plant in an earthquake endangered area. The computation model has been developed using finite element method of discretization. The soil-structure interaction has been considered by including the subsoil body into the model. Both steady state and transiet responses to forces due to unbalances have been computed by direct integration of equations of motion. Seismic response has been computed using the linear respoonse spectrum method. The essential results of computations are presented.
