In NMR tomography using the 131Xe hyperpolarized gas the determination of relaxation time T1 is important. Our aim is to establish the magnitude of relaxation time and the magnitude of flip angle in one experiment. In the paper a method for measuring the relaxation time T1 is described, which is based on repeated excitation by RF pulses with a flip angle ? and a repeat time TR.
