Specific admission requirements
The condition for admission to the master's degree program is completed bachelor's degree program and complying with Article 46 of the European Directive 2005/36/EC on architectural education.
Key learning outcomes
The study program is aimed at achieving such a degree of the graduates qualification that in the process of authorisation - at his joining of the Czech Chamber of Architects - he is able to proof the required knowledge and skills.
Access to further studies
The graduates may continue in a doctoral study programme.
Accessibility of education for people with disabilities
Brno University of Technology makes the study of students with disabilities according to § 21, par. e) of Act 111/1998 Coll. and in accordance with the requirements in this area arising from Government Decree No. 274/2016 Coll. provides applicants and students with specific needs in the range of and in the form corresponding to the specification specified in Annex No. 3 to the Rules for the Provision of Contributions and Subsidies to Public Universities by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, specifying the financing of increased costs for the study of students with special needs. Services for students with special needs are implemented at Brno University of Technology through the activities of a specialized university centre “Alfons”. The activities of the counselling centre and the rules of access to studies are guaranteed by the university with the Rector's Directive No. 11/2017 regulating the position of applicants for students and students with special needs at BUT. This internal rule guarantees minimum standards of provided services. The services of the counselling centre are offered to applicants and students with all types of health disadvantages listed in the above-mentioned Methodological Standard of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Barrier-free access to all teaching rooms is provided at Faculty of Architecture BUT. However, students must be medically fit to obtain the necessary architectural qualifications. In practically oriented studio and other practical training (robotics), they must be able to operate devices and equipment independently without endangering themselves or their surroundings.
