Profile

To educate specialists who are capable of immediate qualified employment in the area of building materials engineering. During the first semester, the students will further expand their theoretical knowledge, which is an essential prerequisite for the further development of their specialised knowledge and skills. Further specialised engineering subjects from the field of specialisation will gradually be introduced into the study plan, in which more detailed knowledge regarding new approaches to the solution of building/materials problems will be gained. In the last two semesters of the course, the option of further specialization will be offered, via the compulsory elective specialised subjects, in connection with the chosen topic of the diploma thesis. Based on the defended diploma thesis, the graduate will be entitled to use the title "engineer" (abbreviated as "Ing." before the name). The graduate can find employment in the wide area of production technology for all kinds of building materials, as the quality control and environment manager of a building company, as technical support for marketing activities, as well as in businesses, building offices, in engineering activities, investment activities, legislation, development and scientific research institutes, educational activities, or as a businessperson involved in the production and distribution of building materials.
