Issued topics of Doctoral Study Program

  1. Integrated solution of diagnostics for production facilities in Czech power engineering

This subject is focused on complex approach to the integrated diagnostics of power plant facilities in the ČEZ,a.s. Company. It deals with introducing the diagnostic tools which aim at reliability and safety of important technologies. Emphasis is laid on processing the diagnostic information and providing outputs to the user of production facilities, especially for the predictive methods of maintenance management.

Tutor: Hammer Miloš, doc. Ing., CSc.

  2. Monitoring and simulation modeling of traction accumulators

Dissertation thesis will be focused on analysis and optimization of the selected control algorithms of state-of-the-art electrical drives' conception. The computer modeling and simulation technique will be used for defined industrial applications; especially safety critical ones will be accented. High reliability and functionality through various working conditions is also one of the aims. Dissertation thesis decision procedure: - electrical drives for safety critical applications state-of-the-art analysis, - definition of the actual electrical drive requirements for this industrial area, - mathematical modeling of the defined brush less motors - definition of the development cycle according to the Model Based Design approach - implementation and verification of the mathematical model by simulation on the real hardware in the dSPACE system, - new control algorithms development, software for control electronic - control algorithms optimization according to the measured response of a controlled system - new development methodology verification, based on the mathematical modeling with following implementation in the target platform at commercial partner application. The theoretical benefit of the dissertation thesis will be verification of the mathematical modeling methodology (Model Based Design approach) and following control algorithms optimization for the defined electrical drives for critical applications. The practical benefit will be verification of the proposed methods suitability for development lifecycle decreasing. The designed methods should increase reliability and lifetime of the defined electrical drive for safety critical application.
