Based on research on wine cellar construction systems in the Czech Republic and abroad an analysis will be carried out of the advantages and disadvantages of each construction system both from the point of view of historical significance and with respect to the current state. Subsequently, individual defects and failures that occur most frequently in wine cellars will be examined by trying to discover the cause of the defect (failure), the possibilities of its correction, calculating the cost of the defect (failure) correction and if the defect cannot be repaired, the impact on the total price of the structure will be assessed. The methodology will include a recommended procedure for examining wine cellars in relation to valuation focusing on finding the most frequent defects occurring in wine cellars. Part of the output will be creating a database of the most frequent defects and failures categorized according to seriousness and whether they can or cannot be repaired. At the same time, data on the real age of the wine cellars will be collected and subsequently assessed in terms of mutual connection and the surrounding effects influencing their lifespan. The knowledge gained will be used in practice for valuation, especially for estimating the identified price or a modification of the valuation regulation will be recommended.
