The European Union has created an on-line tool helping students search for financial assistance.

The tool is intended for:

VISEGRAD FUND

  • Countries: V4 countries (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia), Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine
  • Target group: Master and doctoral students
  • Type: Study and research mobilities
  • Duration of stay: 1 to 4 semesters
  • Finances: EUR 2 300/semester
  • Deadline: 15 March of the given year

STUDY AND RESEARCH IN BAVARIA 

  • Target group: Master and doctoral students from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Ukraine. 

  • Country: Germany, Bavaria
  • Length of stay: 1 year with the possibility of extension to a maximum of 3 years. Deadline for submitting applications for the extension of the scholarship: February 28, 2022.
  • Finance: The scholarship is usually paid in the form of 12 monthly installments. From the academic year 2021/22, the scholarship is increased to € 10,332 per year (€ 861 per month). Applicants with at least one child can also apply for an increase in the scholarship for an additional € 160 per month.
  • Deadline: 1 December 2021 for the academic year 2022/2023

MIRAI PROGRAMME

  • Country: Japan (Tokyo, Hiroshima/Nagasaki)
  • Target group: Bachelor, Master and doctoral students
  • Type: short-term visit for study purposes lasting for 1 week

ROBITSCHEK SCHOLARSHIP

  • Country: USA, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
  • Target group: Bachelor, Master and doctoral students

Fulbright Commission

FULBRIGHT - MASARYK SCHOLARSHIP

  • Country: universities in the USA
  • Target group: PhD students who are at the top of their respective fields and who are also active in public
  • Duration of stay: 3 to 10 months
  • Finances:
    • scholarship equalling USD 2,000 per month
    • contribution towards research and tuition fees
    • return flight to the USA and insurance
  • Conditions: excellent knowledge of English – submit a TELP or TOEFL certification

FULBRIGHT COMMISSION – POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

  • Country: universities in the USA
  • Target group: Master and doctoral students
  • Type:
    • Study abroad (non-degree): one-year stay which does not lead to obtaining a degree
    • Whole studies (degree): completing a whole study programme and obtaining a degree from an American university – the scholarships covers the first year of study only.
    • Research: work on your own research project, e.g. doctoral thesis
  • Finances:
    • cost of living reimbursed in the form of pocket money
    • return flight
    • health insurance
    • tuition fees up to USD 15 000 annually (for degree students only)
  • Conditions:
    • completed Bachelor studies at the time of submitting applications
    • TOEFL examination passed

Study at the Korea University Graduate School

  • Applicants: B.Sc., M.Sc. students
  • Field of study: Natural Science & Physical Education; Engineering & Art
  • Tuition fees: EUR 5 700 – 6 500 per semester (possibility to get a scholarship up to 65% of the tution fee)
  • Requirements: GPA 3.5 and more, TOEFL (CBT) 220 and more, or IELTS 6.0 and more
  • Length of study: at least four semesters
  • Deadline: winter semester (2 – 3 week in March), summer semester (2-3 week in September)

Studying at Russian universities

    • Target group: Bachelor, Master and Doctoral students
    • Type:
      • Mobility to study
      • Short-term mobility to study (1 to 10 months)
      • Mobility for science and research (1 to 10 months)
      • Summer school of the Russian language (July – August)
      • Mobility for science and research
    • Finances:
      • students are exempted from tuition fees
      • students receive scholarships equalling RUB 1 400 per month
    • Conditions: Applicants who do not speak Russian can make use of a one-year preparatory course of the Russian language and technical courses
