Health Legislation and Law

The subject deals with the legal system, laws and legal standards. It also deals with the constitutional law of the Czech Republic and fundamentals of private law. European legal system and its structure and appropriate bodies. The focus is in giving the students an insight in qualifications for non-medical jobs - biomedical technician and engineer. Also discussed are hygienic limits of microclimate and physical fields in the workplace and waste management strategy.

Course curriculum

The subject focuses on the fundamentals of the legal system, Czech and European legislative, qualification requirements for non-medical jobs in health service, characteristics and hygienic standards in the medical workplace, waste management in health service.

To provide the students with understanding of the fundamentals of the Czech and European legal systems and their structures. Basic qualification requirements for performance of non-medical jobs in health service, characteristics and hygiene in the workplace, waste management strategy.
