Acoustics and Sound - summer

Basic introduction to sound, music, musical instruments and rhythm. Minimal music theory including score. Lessons have the form of both listening seminars and practical instruments playing, along with rhythmic and breathing exercises. Use of the method of "Drum Circles". Music and sound improvisation.

Aims

The course acquaints the students with sound, its sources in the area of musical instruments, makes students familiar with a recording studio and teaches them about the work in it: sound recording and editing.
