The subject introduces the construction of various functional tractor groups. Emphasis is laid upon the motional mechanics, the interaction with the field, the traction characteristics and the adhesion load of driving wheels as related to the limit load of the substrate. The subject evaluates various systems of transmitting the drive force of the tractor from the viewpoint of achieved efficiency and traction power, while showing the opportunities to increase the traction efficiency by way of the regulation hydraulics of a tractor.
