Photography and Architecture

FA-FOA-NEAcad. year: 2023/2024

The course has two parts: theoretical (history of architectural photography, composition and arrangement of photographic image, light, working en plein air), and practical (individual work on photographical collection). Bachelor's degree students will have free assignments focused on mapping a certain phenomenon in architecture (mapping a specific typological class).
In the study programme “Architecture and Urban Design” the course is part of the courses on tools.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Evaluation is based on the submitted semestral work.
Active participation of students in the preparation of relevant excursions, and materials for topics of discussion. Submitted semestral work - photographic collection.
In the case of a student's apology and with approval of the subject guarantor, personal attendance may be substituted with online attendance in the classes.

The course introduces students to the basic aspects of photography applicable in architectural practice.
