Indoor rowing

The subject of rowing on rowing machines is intended for students who play recreational, fitness or performance sports and want to increase their fitness or want to start with aerobic exercise. Rowing reduces weight, shapes the body, gains fitness and strengthens the weakened cardiovascular and musculoskeletal system. Rowing is also suitable for students with disabilities. Exercise on a rowing machine (INDOOR ROWING) not only affects the cardiovascular system, but also involves the muscles of the torso, abdomen, upper and lower limbs. Targeted exercise on a rowing machine not only reduces weight and body shaping, but also progressively increases performance. The exercise takes place in a group form at the level of recreational and fitness rowing.

Lesson composition:

- warming up
- rowing
- dynamic elongation,
- the main part of the training unit according to the assigned task,
- free rowing and relaxation,
- stretching by static stretching.

Entry knowledge

Knowledge and skills at the secondary school level of the subject physical education.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Credit on the basis of active participation in teaching, ie regular attendance with registration in the attendance list (2 unexcused participations are allowed). In accordance with Directive No. 17/2019 For the teaching of physical education, the subject is evaluated with one credit.
Regular attendance with registration in the attendance list, 2 unexcused absences are allowed, apologies orally for absences in advance directly in class or by email in advance, but no later than 24.0 hours after the date of class.
Compensation for missed and unexcused lessons, always in agreement with the teacher directly in the specialization or in exceptional cases, will be possible during limited hours at the Machina Fit Center.
The compensation is recorded in the attendance sheet or the teacher issues a written confirmation if the attendance sheet is not available.
Other compensation options are at CESA sporting events (eg Christmas Games, Sports Day, one-off weekend educational events).

Aims

The aim of the course is to compensate for a one-sided sedentary job, to learn the correct technique of riding on rowing machines and to build fitness.
Students implemented in the chosen sport will acquire the correct technique of rowing on rowing machines and through aerobic exercise will increase their fitness and create a positive relationship to physical activities.
