Entry knowledge

Basic knowledge of photogrammetric procedures and tasks, methods of taking digital images, image orientation, determining the elements of inner and exterior orientation, and digital image processing.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Conditions for successful termination of course are:

  • completion of exercises including mandatory attendance, correct solution of all submitted tasks, passing tests for the specified minimum number of points, and obtaining credit from the course,
  • successfully passing the written and oral parts of the exam (after obtaining the credit).

The definition of controlled teaching and the method of its implementation are determined by the annually updated decree of the subject guarantor.

Aims

  • Gaining theoretical knowledge of current methods and principles of digital photogrammetry with emphasis on process automation,
  • the ability of practical application of selected methods of digital photogrammetry,
  • mastering the theoretical basics of remote sensing, the physical nature of methods of collecting information about the Earth's surface, and acquaintance with current technical means of image data collection and methods of their interpretation for many applications.

The student will acquire the objectives of the course Photogrammetry and remote sensing and will be able to apply the selected methods.
