Research Paper Seminar 2

The course consists of two parts: workshops and individual tutorials with the research paper supervisor. Regular workshops facilitate the writing process through group feedback sessions and discussions about the obstacles that students encounter while writing. Individual tutorials with the research paper supervisor focus on specific issues arising from individual research projects and take place based on individual needs of students and with a view to the completeness of their work.

Completion of these courses is required: Research Through Art 1, Research Through Art 2, and Research Paper Seminar 1.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Credits are awarded by the research paper advisor based on tutorial attendance, work towards the final stage of a research paper, and on the condition of more than 70% attendance in workshops.
Diploma Sseminars and workshops take place at the premises of the FFA BUT according to the course schedule. Tutorials take place at dates and times determined by the tutor. Student are required to participate in scheduled tutorials and have attendance of more than 70% in workshops.

Aims

The aim of the course is to support students during the process of writing of their research paper.
Students are able to implement a research plan on a relevant topic and write a research paper based on that topic in keeping with high standards of writing in the field of contemporary art and design.

Syllabus

1. Workshops aimed at providing feedback and support in writing the theoretical part of the thesis.

2. Consultations with the supervisor of the research paper, spread over time accordingly, taking into account the individual needs of the students and the stage of the writing process.
