Logistics in Transport and Handling

FSI-9LDMAcad. year: 2020/2021

The course in Logistics in transport and handling is aimed at optimisation of handling and transport processes. Logistical costs and outputs. The valution of handling and transport processes(logistical factors). The simulation of handling and transport processes with computer utilization.

Language of instruction

Czech

Number of ECTS credits

0

Mode of study

Not applicable.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will gain knowledge of logistic approaches to handling traffic-handling processes. They are able to identify appropriate logistic indicators for transport-handling systems and carry out their evaluation.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of the course is conditional on the basic knowledge of technical mechanics, physics and higher mathematics.

Co-requisites

Not applicable.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Part of the lessons are tutorials where the student applies the acquired knowledge in relation to the topic of doctoral study.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The exam is evaluated with acquired knowledge and the ability to apply them. The exam is written with a final oral interview.

Aims

The aim of the course is to familiarize the students with logistic approaches in the handling of handling and transport processes. Assessment of logistics processes and their cross-sectional functions. Possibilities of modeling of traffic handling processes.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Teaching takes the form of lectures and consultations. Lectures are optional, attendance at tutorials is obligatory.
