Basics of Measurement in Kinanthropology and Sport

CESA-SZMKAcad. year: 2020/2021

The content is theoretical and practical introduction to measuring, testing systems, which are used in sports and physical education. Students will acquire practical skills in working with simple devices and systems, and will be able to use them in various types of sports, environments and various monitored physical load or performance indicators. Part of the exercise will be individual practical activity individual and group.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student will acquire basic knowledge and skills about usage of simple devices for measuring and testing in sports.
He will be able to apply them in practice in his own measurements with athletes and the non-performance population. The student will be able to select suitable measuring and testing equipment and systems, install and operate the equipment, perform measurements and testing procedures, collect selected data, process them for evaluation and interpretation.
