Course curriculum

1. Physical – index tests.
2. Laboratory testing of soil permeability.
3. Laboratory tests to determine the deformation parameters (Oedometer, Barden-Rowe cell).
4. Laboratory tests to determine the shear parameters – 1st part (Triaxial test).
5. Laboratory tests to determine the shear parameters – 2nd part (Triaxial test - contin.).
6. Laboratory tests to determine the shear parameters – 3rd part (shear tests).
7. Laboratory testing of rock (Triaxail tests etc.).
8. Selected material models versus laboratory tests – 1st part.
9 Selected material models versus laboratory tests – 2nd part.
10. Non-standard test (dynamic, torsional, testing of unsaturated soil etc.).
