Diploma seminar II (R)

The contents of the course links to the Diploma seminary I. It is orientated especially to the elaboration of the selected parts of the building-technology project with the possibility to consider the specific features of the particular building companies participating in the education process and practical training of the students. The stress is laid on the space, technology and time structure computer aided solutions. Quality, safety and environmental requirements for guaranteeing of an optimum construction realization will be considered.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The output of the Diploma Seminary II (R) course is elaboration of the diploma thesis on the given topic – usually elaboration of workshop drawings for implementation of the given construction, with regular consultations with the leader of the diploma thesis.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of partial construction processes execution, requirements for their preparedness before the execution, principle of technological methods of the individual construction processes, their sequence and continuity, quality requirements. Modeling of technology and time structure of the partial construction processes, modeling of production space and resources necessary for the construction completion, all this with the use of computer technology. Knowledge of the principles for elaboration of a construction technology study.

Aims

The course objective is to prepare the students to write a diploma thesis with the contents of construction technology project of the construction contractor by regular consultations with the diploma thesis supervisor.

1. - 2. Preparation of background documents, detailed elaboration of technical report to the building-technology project of the assigned construction and selected documents of the building-technology project. 3. - 4. Detailed construction time schedule, balance of resources for construction with utilization of the computer aid. 5. Technology structure of processes, production calculation of the assigned part of construction. 6. Control and inspection plan for executed construction. 7. Taking into account of environmental and safety regulations at the realization of the assigned construction. 8. - 9. Site plant plan, proposal and optimisation of the main building machines. 10. - 13. Summary, completion of the documents being processed and created within the prepared diploma thesis, completion for submission
