Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will accomplish the aim of the subject if he achieves an intermediate level of Russian both in vocabulary and grammar and if he is able to read, translate and make Russian texts of intermediate level.

Prerequisites

Students should master Russian alphabet very well, vocabulary and conversation on the following topics - introducing, phoning, basic information about myself, nationalities, on a visit, family, jobs, free time, hobbies, school, orientation in the city, means of transport, shopping, Moscow and Petersburg, Prague, meeting friends, appearance, human body, clothes, characteristics of people, seasons, weather. Students should accomplish the following grammar - numerals, conjugation of verbs, reflexive verbs, infinitive, inflexion of nouns, adjectives and pronouns, inanimate and animate nouns, indeclinable nouns, prepositional phrases, date, past tense, using "vy" when addressing a person, substantivized adjectives, proximity.
