Alternative Drainage Methods

The subject deals with non-traditional wastewater disposal systems (vacuum sewerage and pressure sewerage) and describes principles of both methods.
Vacuum sewerage: House and control shafts. Pipeline network. Pipe materials, tracing. Vacuum station design and its pumping part – air balance, vacuum pumps design, vacuum tanks. Alternative energy sources. System control. System economy. Building processes. System operation.
Pneumatic wastewater transport.
Pressure sewerage: Description of its elements. House pump tanks, pipeline network, facilities. Dimensioning of pipe network. Small diameter sewerage. Pressure sewerage wastewater treatment. Building, operation and maintenance of pressure sewerage systems. Economy.
