Simulation Modeling in Road Accident Analysis I

The course is focused on the use of computational, respectively. measuring techniques in traffic accident analysis and vehicle damage detection.

At the end of the course students should be able to work with programs for road accidents analysis.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching is based on computer class exercises. These exercises are used to understand the principles of working with selected programs and then to process the semester project.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

To obtain a graded course-unit credit, attendance at seminars and submission of a semestral work is required (obtaining data for analysis with the support of a simulation program, solving a given task in a spreadsheet, etc.)

Course curriculum

Lessons are realized in seven four-hour blocks once every 14 days:
1. Measuring and recording technology for DN site documentation
2. Spreadsheet
3. Basics of work with PC-Crash
4. Basics of working with Virtual Crash
5. SW packages expert
6. Elaboration of semestral project
7. Submission of semestral work, evaluation.


The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the available SW and HW equipment, enabling the implementation of partial tasks in the solution of traffic accidents
