Power engineering of Natural Gas
FEKT-MPA-EZPAcad. year: 2020/2021
Natural gas is sometimes referred to as fuel for the 21st century. After the coal-fired time comes the gas time. Student should be oriented both in legislation and technology for using natural gas.
Learning outcomes of the course unit
The student should begin to focus on natural gas. This is especially the use of natural gas in the energy sector. It is a comprehensive point of view, the transport (mechanical part), measurement (electrical part) is supplemented economy and legislation.
The subject knowledge on the Bachelor´s degree level is requested.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations. Techning methods include lectures, computer laboratories and practical laboratories. Course is taking advantage of e-learning (Moodle) system. Students have to write a single project/assignment during the course.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Assessment of written and oral part of final exam is directed by FEKT (FEEC) rules.
Minimum points for course-unit credit is 20 points, maximum 30 points.
Minimum points for final written exam is 40 points, maximum 70points.
Minimum total points to obtain a course is 50 points, maximum 100 points.
