Reliability, Safety and Diagnostics of Technical Systems
FSI-RBDAcad. year: 2017/2018
The subject is focused on the most advanced knowledge about reliability, safety and diagnostics of technological systems which are available in the engineering and electro-technical practice. Emphasis is laid on the principles of the reliability and safety assurance in the designing area, especially, the operation of the systems described above. Furthermore, attention is focused on the reliability indices of unrepaired and repaired objects, safety and reliability analysis, their procedures and the possibility of increasing reliability. Maintenance during operating technological systems is also discussed. The students will be also familiarized with the reliability tests, reliability information system, appropriate standards and valid legislation. Attention is also focused on the analysis and the description of technological diagnostics including diagnostic signal analysis, measuring methods and tools, and evaluation. The detailed description of the selected diagnostic methods is presented.
Learning outcomes of the course unit
In this sense, the students will acquire the comprehensive and complex knowledge in the field of reliability, safety and diagnostics of technological systems; this approach will help the students to engage in solving the different issues in industrial engineering and electro-technical engineering practice which relate to this topic.
Knowledge of mathematics and physics at the university level will be expected.
