Studio I - Video - winter

The study begins with the introduction to the study in the studio. Basic video studio program is specifically associated with the name Video: it deals with all sorts of video applications, from simple documentary film to interactive - multimedia video installations. During the studies, students learn the language of technical implementation: camera work etc. from the classic video editing to contemporary sophisticated software techniques. To enable students to practically implement complicated procedures they can also use the space and technology provided by the Cabinet of video. They are also available special lectures and courses in specific areas of new media, by invited experts. Practical training course is not focused only on technological approach, the implementation of individual student’s semester works are also in the form of an image, object or space installation. Studio tasks are formulated simply, clearly and systematically. It is a set of assignments where the individual tasks well come together. In a number of offered programs each student can make the selection according to individual focus.

Course curriculum

General preparation due to the fact that the first year students come from different environments. The two semesters serve as a preparation year for acquiring the general basics of artistic communication.
Studio tasks are formulated in a simple, understandable and systematic way. Single tasks are related to each other. From the number of offered programmes students chose their individual "tracks" and their solutions.
