Course curriculum

1. Soils as particular materials. Classification of soils (ČSN EN 1997-2).
2. Physical index tests and special tests for earth bodies (in situ tests).
3. New methods of mechanical soil properties evaluation.
4. Determination of input parameters of constitutive relations.
5. Determination of pore pressures and volume changes and stress path method.
6. Evaluation of influence of geotechnical constructions on environment, laboratory tests of geochemistry.
7. The tasks of environmental geotechnics at waste saving. Waste material properties.
8. Redevelopment of old ecological damages, determination of risk elements content.

All-day excursions (geotechnical constructions, in-situ tests, geotechnical laboratories in the Czech and Slovak republic) are included during the course, too.

Work placements
