Cartographical Informatics

FAST-HE19Acad. year: 2016/2017

Replacement of conventional graphic picture by simulated mathematic-logical model of geography space, which can solve topographic problems.
Area database of geo information systems, delimitation, algorithmzation and computer problem covering in these systems.
Presentation of land models by multi medial technology in virtual reality and “true reality”.
Tools for projection 3D CAD in virtual simulation environment.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will manage basic theoretical knowledge of digital cartography and inserting of digital cartographic products to the geographic information systems. They will achieve detailed knowledge about national digital map works and will be introduced with equivalent works from EU countries.

Prerequisites

Cartographic terminology and technique for creation of cartographic works, principles of GIS technology.

6. Rapid modeling and revese engineering.
7. Standards and norms for GIS.
8. Electronic maps in environment of INTERNET/INTRANET.
9. National digital cartographic works.
10. Presentation of cartographic works in 3D and 4D.
