Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will acquire the essentials of classical and digital photography, they will be able to document their artworks themselves, and potentially use photography within their own art projects.

Prerequisites

Students must have basic technical and technological knowledge of classical and digital photography

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The following assignments have to be fulfilled in order to obtain credits:
1. Self-portrait.
2. Time priority (two comparative photographs)
3. Apperture priority (two comparative photographs)
4. The lense focal point (two comparative photographs)
5. B&W vs. color (two comparative photographs).

Aims

Students will acquire wider orientation of technical and technological elements of classical and digital photography.
Students will learn the essential theory necessary to master the B&W photographic proces (negative - positive)
They will be able to distinguish between the basic types of cameras, choose the appropriate camera for the particular task.
The subject will introduce them to the basic theory and practice with digital photography.
