General Morphology - Winter

FaVU-1MFOB-ZAcad. year: 2016/2017

The course introduces classical human anatomy and plastic anatomy for artists, supplemented with the virtual excursions both into structural microworld and into the antropological macroworld so that the demands of all FFA departments are met according to the "plurality of worlds - unity of knowledge/art" tenet. The basic principles are drawn from the general study of shapes and their real variety, difference, and disparity caused by the system-evolution approach. (The shape of the world, the world as a shape.)

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn the structural anatomy of human body on macroscopic level. After theoretical and practical demonstrations, the studies of human body is always concluded by plastic anatomy. Multileveled (hierarchical) ordeding of people and their world is always stressed with is variability and diversity in time and space: ethnic, sexual, age, pathological, developmental, and other aspects are considered. General morphology represents a prologue enabling basic understanding of the living world employing also etological and ecological sciences in the structural-behavioral-environmental context. The structure of the body axis and its derivates is the model.
