Special morphology - summer

Special morphology is a follow-up to General Morphology. The course presents classical human and plastic anatomy for artists. Special morphology is concerned with individual parts of the body, especially the trunk and the limbs.

Learning outcomes of the course unit


Students will learn the structural anatomy of the human body on a macroscopic level from the point of view of plastic anatomy. The course will deal with the anatomy of the trunk, the belly and the back, upper limbs (stress is put on the antropology of human hand), the lower limbs (the antopology of human foot).

General morphology course.

60% attendance is mandatory.
Anatomical sketchbook: 100 anatomical problems according to Zrzavý, including the body in the motion

Course curriculum


1. the chest, joints and muscles; typologies, pathologies. The shape and plastic anatomy.
2. The belly. The muscles and the movement of the trunk. Typology and plastic anatomy.
3. The back. The muscles and movement, plastic anatomy, the pelvis and its function.
4. the upper limb, the manipulative and communicative function
5. the lower limb, locomotion
7. antropogenesis> verticalisation as the key to hominization. Evolution "scars"

Aims

The objective is to teach the students "morphological thinking" and its application, id. methods and techniques of using the morphological literature and knowledge in working on concrete artistic tasks.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lectures are optional, seminar is mandatory.
