The course deals with new problems of civil aviation operations in the Czech Republic, which occurred at aviation building and operation and that are not discussed in other courses.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn of safety at civil aviation, checking methods of aircraft traffic (handling) capacity and operability, flight control technology in civil aviation.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of secondary school mathematics and physics is required.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Graded credit is given to the student upon presentation of specified written work, focusing on some of the subjects addressed. Fundamental consideration is the ability to analyze the benefits and problems in the specified topic.

Aims

The course objective is to extend students' knowledge of civil aviation theory and legislation and discuss other topical issues.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lectures and exercises are compulsory, and the attendance (80% at the minimum) is controlled and recorded. The absence (in justifiable cases) can be compensated by personal consultation with the lecturer and elaboration of individually assigned topics and exercises. Individual tasks must be finished and handed in the credit week at the latest.
