Work of Art in Architecture

The subject deals with the sense and the application of art in architecture. During the semester, the problems of art's influence on historical and contemporary architecture are analysed in architectural designs and works of art. The subject resumes the teachings of the preceding semesters of "Art". Emphasis is put on the development of invention and creativity. The results of the semester work are presented in catalogues, compact disks and models of works of art.

Prerequisites

The student's knowledge required for the study of the subject Art VI Design in architecture (VT6), is as follows:
- sense of space
- imagination
- creativity
- command of graphic techniques
- knowledge of the theory of aesthetics

Aims

Development of cognitive processes, creative activity and rational thinking in the framework of doctor study. Understanding the significance of creativie art design for shaping architectural design. Solving the problem of abstraction, empathy and analysis of society's participation in architecture's historic and contemporary expression.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Teaching takes place in the Institute of drawing and modelling, in classes given
by the schedule of the curriculum.
