Role of geodesy i building industry and architecture. Gedetic datums.
Global positioning systems. Angel and distance measurement. Coordinate calculation. Determination of elevations. Digital terrain model. Mapping - geodetical methods. Setting out works. Determination of displacements and deformations of structures. Determination areas and volumes. Photogrammetric survey. Close range photogrammetry for architecture and documentation of cultural heritage. Laser scanning.
Remote sensing. Cadastre of real estate. Fundamentals of cartography, map works in the Czech republic. Geographical information systems.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student obtains knowledge of part of geodesy having relation to designing, realisation and documentation of bulilding structures. Special attention is pointed on technologies for mass collection of spatial data - photogrammetry, laser scanning, mobile mapping. Basic information about building informatin model.

1. The role of geodesy in the field architecture. Introduction, units, historical development.
2. Datums and controls in the Czech republic. Coordinate systems WGS-84, JTSK. Global positioning systems.
3. Coordinate clculation, rayon, intersections, traverses, transformations.
4. Direction, angel and distance measurements.
5. Measurement ofhights, levelling network, digital terrain model.
6. Survey instruments.
7. Mapping - geodetical methods. Survey of building for reconstruction.
8. Setting out works. Determination of displacements and deformations of structures. Determination areas and volumes.
9. Photogrammetric survey, close range photogrammetry

To obtain knowledge of part of geodesy having relation to designing, realisation and documentation of bulilding structures.
