Combustion Engines

FSI-QSPAcad. year: 1999/2000

Thermal efficiency of an ideal and complete thermal cycle. The impacts of varying rated thermal capacities of gases, of volume changes during combustion, of the dissociation of residua of combustion products from the previous cycle and heat transfer upon the real thermal cycle of a combustion engine. Chemical composition, production and properties of fuels both for spark ignition engines and compression ignition engines. Foundations of the chemical reaction kinetics, combustion of homogenous and heterogeneous mixtures.
