Psychology and sociology of work

The subject of psychology and sociology of work, psychology and sociology of work environment, analysis of work activity, analysis of worker-output, professiogram, selection and admissing and localisation of the workers, checking and rating of workers, motivation and stimulation, firm culture , main ideas of effective work and cooperation, manager´s communicative abilities.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Orientation in subjekt, abilities in aplikation from knowledge are gained in private and in profession live.
Student will be able to have insight on the human resource management problems.
Student will know the problems connected with the performance of the profession.
Student will learn several techniques of mental hygiene.
Student will know the structure of motivation and work motivation.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge from psychology and sociology from secondary school (from subjects as Civics or Social science). Basic orientation in terminology as a general psychology, sociology, social groups, psychological methods, imagines about direction, manager´s functions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The information will be passed on in the form of lectures, accompanied by rich photographic material.
Each student will prepare a seminar work from the rank of sociology and psychology of work.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Each student submits the seminal work in printed form in the range of a minimum of five standard pages.

1. The subject, tasks and methods of psychology and sociology of work.
2. Manager´s psychology and sociology, fundamental principles, using in technical praxis.
3. Psychological and sociological influence of the factors of work environment.
4. Psychological and sociological expertize of firm.
5. Psycholgical and sociological analysies of work-output.
6. Firm culture and identity. Public relations.
7. Motivation and demands. Stimulation of workers. The analysis of a worker´s carrier.
8. Professiograms, selection and localisation of the workers.
9. Manager´s communication abilities. Social position and role of a directing worker.
10. Director´s activities with personalities and work group. People in firm.
12. Manager and conflicts, organization changes and manager´s readiness.
13. The principals of psychical hygiena, health manager personality.
