Diploma Seminar I (E-EKR)

Students are already divided individually into the specislization (sections). Within the subject students are directed by their future diploma work supervisors to the problematic they will be dealing with solving the final diploma work.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be able to:
- thoroughly penetrate to the substantive issues of the theme;
- using bibliographies and electronic sources
- quote and refer to the used sources,
- write technical text,
- formal process of professional work.

Prerequisites

Knowledge in range of each discipline of economics and management in building industry.

Co-requisites

substantive issues of the treated topic, copyright law, citation standards

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at practical classes is compulsory.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Submitting work in print and electronic form. Presentation. Credit.

Course curriculum

Individual work of student according to his project leader solves individually following tasks:
1. Study and exploration of entered literature.
2. Translation of foreign specialized essays from area of entered theme.
3. Construction of methodology and schedule for solution of entered problem.
4. Collection, sorting out of information and data related to entered subject.
5. Formulation of sublayer of diploma work, its evaluation and formulation of conclusion.

Obtaining of ability to synthesize gained knowledge during studies and their exercise in specialized practice.
