Prices in Civil Engineering II

Pricing in construction production. Costing for setting of construction works prices and prices of construction objects and construction works supply. Costing of construction works, methods and procedures. Costing formula. Costing and calculation of machinery and equipment tariffs. Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students gain knowledge in the area of valuation of construction works according to their life cycle. The ability to build cost with respect to quality and legislation. Gaining knowledge valuation of construction works in development activities with regard to the conditions of the real estate market. They will learn to calculate prices of works with regard to the viability of building manufacture, assemble calculation procedures in terms of construction company with links to the construction market and the creation of bid prices and the actual prices.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of construction firm and construction orders economics. Ability to set prices of construction objects and construction supplies by using cost estimates. Knowledge of coding and classifications in construction production.

Co-requisites

Construction and technical knowledge to the construction process. Knowledge of project activities. Knowledge of technological processes used in building construction.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures, practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at lectures is optional, but attendance at classes is compulsory.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Knowledge acquired is through a written examination. Successful completion may be getting at least half scoring. The rating is partially supplemented by an oral examination. Evaluation exercises in a form of regular attendance and submission of the assembled itemized budget of the building to the offer price on selected case studies.

Aims

Ability to calculate prices of construction works with respect to achieving profitability of construction production, to make out costing procedures in conditions of construction firm in connection with construction market.
