The course provides information from the area of development, design and implementation of enterprise information systems in all stages of their life cycle.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will obtain basic skills and knowledge necessary for specifying requirements for an information system, its analyses, design and implementation. Students will be able to co-ordinate activities when implementing information systems in companies.

Prerequisites

Secondary school knowledge of informatics and knowledge of operating, database and office systems and internet applications using.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For obtaining the credit : the attendance at seminars is mandatory, development of a specified credit work in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The test consists of a written and an oral part. The written part consists of 12 open questions. Oral examination is to be completed if the result of written part will be entirely clear. In the overall classification the activity of the student during the exercise can be taken into consideration. This activity can improve overall rating of up to 2 degrees, except the written exam graded F.
The test is classified according to ECTS.

2. How to properly understand to company's information systems
3. Strategy and management of business informatics
4. The life cycle of IS / ICT project
5. Overview of the market and the business models of delivery of enterprise applications
6. Planning and management of company resources
7. Human Resource Management
8. Production planning and control, logistics and supply chain
9. Management of relationships with customers and suppliers
10. Management information systems

Aims

The objective of the course is to make students familiar with theoretical methods, methodologies and the use of information systems in the frame of a company management.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at lectures is not compulsory, but is recommended. Attendance at seminars is compulsory and controlled. Absence from seminars cannot be compensated for via consultations with the tutor.
